What this is for

A printable, fillable one-page Voice Profile. Use it after reading Presenting Your Voice in Feedback. The output is a single sheet you bring into the Template Builder via the Building Your Template from Your Voice Profile product video.


Step 1 — Read your own feedback aloud (about 5 minutes)

Pull three or four recent pieces of feedback you have written. Read each one aloud, slowly. Listen for the patterns.

Step 2 — Capture your characteristic phrases (about 10 minutes)

For each of the six moments, write the one or two phrases you actually used most often. Note any moment that's missing from your default mode.

Opening. How does your feedback usually begin?


Transition. How do you move from one thing to the next?


Encouragement. How do you name effort or growth?


Constructive framing. How do you introduce an issue?


Guidance. How do you describe a next step?


Closing. How does your feedback end?



Step 3 — Vocabulary and avoidance (about 5 minutes)
